( ४ - ५ ) - गुणस्थानों में लेश्या तथा बन्ध हेतु । छसु सब्बा सेउतिगं. इगि छसु सुक्का अयोगि अल्लेसा । बंधस्स मिच्छ अविरइ, कसायजो गत्ति च हेउ ॥५०॥
षट्सु सर्वास्तेजस्त्रमेकस्मिन् षट्सु शुक्लाऽयोगिनोलेश्याः ।
स्य मिध्यात्वाविरतिकृष्णाययोगा इति चत्वारो हेतवः ||१०| अर्थ - पहले छह गुणस्थानों में छह लेश्याएँ हैं। एक ( सातवें ख़ै गुणस्थान मानने के सम्बन्ध में दो मत चले आते हैं। पहला मत पहले चार गुणस्थानों में छह लेश्याएँ और दूसरा मत पहले छह गुणस्थानों में छह लेश्याएँ मानता है। पहला मत संग्रह - द्वा० १ गा० ३० प्राचीन बन्धस्वामित्व, गा० ४०; नवीन बन्धस्वामित्व गा० २५; सर्वार्थसिद्धि, पृ० २४ और गोम्मटसार - जीवकाण्ड, गा० ७०३ रोके भावार्थ में है। दूसरा मत प्राचीन चतुर्थ कर्मग्रन्थ, गा०७३ में तथा महाँ है । दोनों मत अपेक्षाकृत है, अत: इनमें कुछभी विरोध नहीं है। पहले मत का आशय यह है कि छहों प्रकार की द्रव्यलेश्यावालों को चौथा गुणस्थान प्राप्त होता है, पर पाँचवाँ या छठा गुणस्थान सिर्फ तीन शुभ द्रव्यमवालों की। इसलिये गुणस्थान प्राप्ति के समय वर्तमान द्रवधदया की अपेक्षा से चौथे गुणस्थान पर्यन्त छह लेक्ष्याएँ माननी चाहिये और पाँचवे और छठे में तीन ही ।
दूसरे मत का आशय यह है कि यद्यपि छहों लेश्याओं के समय चौथा गुणस्थान और तीन शुभ द्रव्यलेमाओं के समय पात्र और छठा गुणस्थान प्राप्त होता है परन्तु प्राप्त होने के बाद चौथे, पांचवें और छठे, तीनों गुणस्थानवालों में छहों द्रव्य लेश्याएं पायी जाती हैं। इसलिये गुणस्थानप्राप्ति के उत्तर-काल में वर्तमान द्रव्यलेश्याओं को अपेक्षा से छठे गुणस्थान पर्यन्त छह लेश्याएं मानी जाती है ।

इस जगह यह बात ध्यान में रखनी चाहिये कि चौथा पांच और छठा गुणस्थान प्राप्त होने के समय भावलेदया तो शुभ ही होती है, अशुभ नहीं, पर प्राप्त होने के बाद भावलेश्या भी अशुभ हो सकती है ।
