(४}-मागणाओं में लेश्या । छसु. लेसासु सठाणं, एगिदिअसंनिभूदगवणेसु । पढमा अउरो तिन्नि उ, नारयनिगलागिपवणेसु ॥३६॥
षट्सु लेश्यासु स्वस्थानमे केन्द्रियासज्ञिभूदकतनेषु । प्रथमाश्चतस्रस्तिनस्तु, मारकविकलानिपवनेषु ॥३३॥
.. अर्थ-छह लेण्यामार्गणाओ में अपना-अपना स्थान है । एकेन्द्रिय, असंशि-पञ्चेत्रिय, पृथ्वीकाय, जलकाय और बनस्पतिकाय, इन पाँच मागंणाओं में पहली बार लेश्याएँ हैं । नरकति, विकलेविय-त्रिक, अग्निकाय और वायुकाय, इन छह मार्गणाओं में पहली तीन लेश्याएं हैं ॥३६॥
: मावार्थ-छह लेश्याओं में अपना-अपना स्थान है, इसका मतलब म्ह है कि एक समय में एक जीव में एक ही लेश्या होती है, वो नहीं । क्योंकि छहों लेश्याएं समान कालकी अपेक्षा से आपस में विरुद्ध हैं। कृष्ण लेश्या वाले जीवों में कृष्ण लेश्या ही होती है । इसी प्रकार मागे मी समम लेना चाहिए ।
एकेन्द्रिय भावि उपर्युक्त पांच मार्गणाओं में कृष्ण से तेजः पर्यन्त चार लेश्याएं मानी जाती हैं । इनमें से पहली तीन तो भवप्रत्यय होने के कारण सबा हो पायी जा सकती हैं, पर तेजोलेश्या के सम्बन्ध में यह बात नहीं, वह सिर्फ अपर्याप्त अवस्था में पायी जाती है । इसका कारण यह है कि जब कोई तेजोलेश्या वाला जीब मरकर पृथ्वीकाय जलकाय या वनस्पतिकाय में जनमता है तब उसे कुछ काल तक पूर्व जन्म को मरण-कालीन तेजोलेश्या रहती है।
नरकगति आदि उपयुक्त छह मार्गणाओं के जीवों में ऐसे अशुभ परिणाम होते हैं, जिससे कि वे कृष्ण आधि तीन लेखाओं के सिवाय प्रम्य लेश्याओं के अधिकारी नहीं बनते ॥३६॥
