* "The victory over the senses" means the senses
not having a deep attachment for their respective objectives. The pilgrimage on the path of Moksha cannot be carried on without that victory over the senses.
* Keep off the temptations of status, wealth and
prestige. Obduracy in respect of anything is im. proper.
* The man who is intoxicated by arrogance cannot
maintain a balance in respect of the endeavours relating to Dharma (spiritual pursuits); Artha (money); and Kama (worldly desires). Such a man cannot attain a victory over his senses also.
