There is another difficulty. In the case of fire there is the mountain in which the invariable. relation between smoke and fire is to be proved. But in the case of momentariness there is no such thing as the mountain in which that invariable relation between momenMariness and the world is to be proved This difficulty the author faces by-saying that intelligent persons.. can conceive that invariable relation anywhere.
