appendix contains a list of the verses occurring in the text, while the third appendix contains the text of Asanga's views on Hetuvidyā from the Cintāmayibhūmi also forming part of the Srāvakabhūmi. The fourth appendix contains the text of the various gāthāvyavasthānas intruded in the Śrāvakabhūmi.
Similarly, three indices, containing those of quotations, verses and important Sanskrit words have also been appended. These appendices and indices could not be included in this Volume due to some unavoidable circumstances. They will be soon published in a seperate volume which is expected to be out shortly.
Now, this Volume, containing the text of the Srāvakabhumi and the first sixty four pages of the Introduction is in the hands of the scholars and it is for them to examine its worth. We can claim nothing new in it as it is simply a reproduction of an old text in a new form, which, in the words of Jayanta Bhațţa, is the prime purpose of research :
