Monobloc, single piece of concrete composition. Monolith, single block of stone shaped into a pillar or monument. Monoptoral, circular type of temple. Mortar, mixture of lime, sand, and water for joining stone or
bricks. Mortice, hole cut to receive a projection especially a tenon. Moulding, the contour given to projecting members. Mudra, language of the hands and fingers. Mukka-mandapam, front hall or colonnade in front of main
shrine. Mullion, upright members used to divide openings into smaller
spaces. Mural, wall, wall decoration.
