________________ 24 RISABHA DEVA Taking the chakra with him, the chakravarti started on the conquest of the world, leaving the new nurse with his daughter, as already described. He returned home on the very day when Bajrajangha was discovered as the re-incarnated form of Lalitānga by Srimati's nurse, in the Mahāpūta Chaityālaya. By the power of clairvoyance he, too, had come to know the real facts about the love between his daughter and his own sister's son in their previous lives. On getting home, he comforted her affectionately and told her that he had come to know all about the discovery of Lalitānga by her nurse, and assured her that she would be bringing the glad tidings in the course of the day to her beloved mistress. Events shaped themselves as the Chalravarti had predicted. Srimati was much rejoiced, and the general aspect of gloom was lifted from the minds of all who were devoted to her. In due course of time a marriage was proposed and performed of Srimati and Bajrajangha, with great eclat in Pundarikini; and there were great celebrations. Another marriage was arranged between Amitateja and Anundhari at the time. For months and years the story of the great love of Srimati and Bajrajangha was related in all households in the kingdom!
