good deeds which our law and the police cannot either stop or inspire. The degenration which we see today in India is largely because of the fact that the Western education has made us oblivious of spirituality and of the sense of a future life. Because of this indifference, there is all pervasive increase in thefts, dishonesty, corruption, permissivness, immodesty, violence, false-hood etc., inspite of the fact that we have got a very effective system of Law and the courts of Law. So, if you want to inculcate the virtues of happiness and goodness in mankind, there is only one way and that is to adopt,at the earliest, the spirituality and the concept of life hereafter as taught by our Indian religions. Not only this, we should undertake to propogate and spread this message of our religions.
The amount of violence that has spread all around us is simply staggering. Giant slaughter houses have come up in our holy land of India and millions of animals are slaughtered everyday because of this. It is because of this that natural calamities such as excessive rains, famines, floods, accidents, fierceness of the seasons etc. are befalling mankind. As the western religions do not accept the existence of the spirituality, how can they teach us kindness towards animals, birds and insects ?
