up the subject and throw some light thereon. The present publication was prepared for and put through the press by the Jain Dharma Prasaraka Sabha of Bhavnagar. At the suggestion of Maharaja Shri Ananda Sagar the present publication has been entrusted to the trustees by the said institution. The whole work of preparing press copies and examining proofs was done by the said Jain Dharma Prasaraka Sabha under the supervision of Mahåråja Ananda Sågar. The trustees take this opportunity of expressing their sense of gratitude and obligation to the said institution and Maharaja Ananda Sagar, the latter of whom has placed the trustees under constant obligation by his promptness, diligence and readiness in helping forward the publication of several books and fulfilling the aims and objects of the trusts.
