VERIES WO This is the 18th Vol. of our series and comprises two books, one Kalpasūtra, and the other Yugapradhana Kalikacharya's Katha. The subject-matter of this volume was written by Shree Bhadrabhu Svāmin, sixth in descent from Lord Mahavira, as the eighth chapter of "Shree Dasha-Shruta-Skandha-Sutra". It is generally known as Kalpasutra. This being a well-known work, we do not think it necessary to say much about it, except that it was once customary with the Sadhus or the Jain monks to read it before an assembly of Sadhus only. Later on, this custom has been altered in the year 510 Vikrama Era, and it is now read by Sadhus before the laymen also. There are the following commentaries on this work :-- Name. Author.
