Mr. Champat Rai Jain, Vidya Varidhi, Bar-at-law arrived in Madras by the Grand Trunk Express at 7.15 p.m. on the 28th Nov. 1929. He was given a hearty reception at the Central Station by Mr. C. S. Mallinath, the members of the Jaina Young Men's Association and some members of the Swetambar Jain Community. On the 30th afternoon, a welcome address was presented to him by the Jaina Young Men's Association under the distinguished presidency of Pro. A. Chakravarti, M.A., I.E.se Principal of the Rajamundry College. While thanking the members of the Association for their kind address, the revered guest advised the Jain Young men and the students to devote at least one hour every day for the study of their religion and do some sort of service to their community and religion.
