The architectural proportions are breathtaking, unmatched in India or perhaps in any part of the world; their wealth of sculptor almost unlimited. The Bayon was finally altered and dedicated to Buddha under lineaments of Jayaverman VII apparently to replace the saivite Devaraja. This statement clearly explains that saivite devaraja cult was basically a jaina culture.
