Diksha among Jains is largely unknown in the West and most young people raised in the West would never have witnessed it. Such a ceremony for a Ĉ Digambara monk, who has to lead a very austere lifestyle, is very rare. When these wonderful pictures taken by Milind Khetka of Dinodia arrived at the office, we were stunned. All kinds of questions emerged-why would someone want to do this and how would they be able to cope?
