________________ Mystic Elements in the Writings of Shrimad Rajchandra Dr. Nilesh N. Dalal Spiritualistic writings include Mystic, Ethical and Metaphysical Writings. It is quite obvious that ethical writings claim the maximum space of the spiritualistic works. After ethics, the major portion of spiritualistic works is occupied by metaphysical and philosophical discussions. The remaining portion of spiritualistic literature goes to the share of Mysticism. But, though the space occupied by purely mystic outpourings in spiritualistic literature is the least, in importance, it is supreme. This is so because the Mystic experience is the very core of spiritualism. A perusal of Jaina Spiritualistic Litera. ture shows that though mystic utterences are scattered here and there, all these utterences taken together is scant than what one finds in the writings of Islamic or Christian saints. Very few Jaina Spiritualists have maintained a record of their Spiritual Sãdhanã and Jain Education International For Private & Personal Use Only www.jainelibrary.org
