I-IV JULY-JUNE 10-11 Dhrstadyumnam mahāraudraṁ tatra no abhūd raņo mahān, jitāstena vayam sarve vyapayāma raņāt tataḥ. athāstena Sātyakim tam upāyāntañ mahāratham, rathaiścatuḥsatairvīro māmabhayadravadāhave. Dhrstadyumnādaham muktaḥ kathancicchrāntavāhanāt, patito mādhavānīkam duşkặtī narakaṁ yathā. tatra yuddham abhuūd ghoram muhūrtam atidaruņam, Satyakistu mahābāhur mām hatyā paricchadam. jīvagrāhamagrhān mām mūrchitam patitam bhuvi, Now in the 37th śloka of chapter 29 of Salyaparva Sanjaya narrates that seeing me in captivity Dhrstadyumna said jokingly to Sātyaki that there is no need to keep him in captivity as well as alive Dhrstadyumnastu mām dřstvā hasan Sātyakim abravita, kim anena gļhiten nānenārtho asti jīvatā. In the 38th to 41st ślokas of chapter 29 of Salyaparva Sanjaya tells Dhstarāṣtra that on hearing Dhțstadyumna Sātyaki got ready to kill me by a sharp sword. At that time Vyāsa came and said, “Leave Sanjaya alone". On hearing this Sātyaki released me from captivity, on his order I took off my shield. Being armless I moved towards the city. At that time there was blood all over my body. Dhrstadyumnavacaḥ śrutvā sinernaptā mahārathaḥ, udyamya nisitam khadgam hantum mām udyatastadā. tam āgamya mahāprājñaḥ kṣś nadvaipāyanoabravīta, mucyatām Sanjayo jīvan na hantavyaḥ kathancana. Dvaipāyanavacaḥ śrutvā sinernaptā kştāñjaliḥ, tato mām abravīn muktvā svasti Sanjaya sādhaya. anujñātstvahań tena nyastavarmā nirāyudhaḥ, prātiștham yena nagaram sāyāhne, rudhirokşitaḥ.
