Then many physicians ... examined the body of the governor Ikaki (and administered many types of medicines). But they were not able to cure even one of those sixteen diseases. “Then that governor Ikaki abandoned by doctors and left by his attendants, having enjoyed the kingdom and the country, wishing for them, longing for them, desiring them and thus completely overcome by unhappy thoughts and misery died. Then he was born as a hell-being in the hell. Then having come out from it he was born as a son, in this very city of Miyagama, in the womb of the queen Miyadevi of the Ksatriya king Vijaya. ..."
