Thavani : Crossed-wooden stand used as a symbol (sthā panā) for the teacher or the Tirthankara,--on it a scripture or certain prescribed small objects are placed and worshipped by Jaina monks; known also as Sthāpanācārya. Tarapani: A wooden water-vessel used by Jaina monks.
