Pabasana: The seat or asana on which the figure of a Jina is placed. Parikara Accessory decoration round the figure of a Jina the motifs in these are taken from the Jaina conception of eight chief objects attendant upon a Jina (ashta-maha-pratihāryāņi). In the Maraṭhā period, this was specially used for auspicious music (sharanai or pipe accompanied with drum, etc. marking every three hours of a day or night), the pavilion being known as the Takorkhānā. The Balanakas of these mediaeval Jaina inscriptions were possibly used as such Ṭakorkhānās-Translator.
