________________ HIS EMINENCE CARDINAL JEAN-LOUIS TAURAN Cardinal Jean-Louis Tauran was ordained to the priesthood in 1969 and served as parochial vicar in Bordeaux. In 1983, he was called to the Vatican and joined the Council for the Public Affairs of the Church; for many years he represented the Holy See at the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe. He was appointed undersecretary of the Council for the Public Affairs of the Church (now known as the Section for Relations with States of the Secretariat of State) in 1988. In 1991, he was consecrated as titular archbishop of Telepte and appointed as secretary of the same council. He has led the Holy See delegation at numerous international conferences. In 2007 he was named President of the Pontifical Council for Interreligious Dialogue. MOST REVEREND PAUL S. LOVERDE Bishop Paul S. Loverde was appointed by Pope John Paul II as the Third Bishop of the Catholic Diocese of Arlington on January 25, 1999. Prior to coming to the Diocese of Arlington, Bishop Loverde served as the Bishop of Ogdensburg, New York for five years. 10 ******** He was ordained a priest for the Diocese of Norwich, Connecticut on December 18,1965, in Saint Peter's Basilica in Rome. He was ordained Auxiliary Bishop of Hartford on April 12, 1988, in the Cathedral of Saint Joseph in Hartford. He was installed as the Eleventh Bishop of Ogdensburg on January 17, 1994, and he was installed as the Third Bishop of Arlington on March 25, 1999. HINDU CATHOLIC DIALOGUE
