________________ And, the object should be noble. The object will be considered noble as long as it does not involve any perpetuation of wrong or evil to others. Any pernicious feeling harbored in the mind definitely obstructs the outcome of a good result. One may be Selfish, He may be wanting one or the other thing for his own personal benefit. This object, as long as, does not allow any illwill or alluding to others, is not ennoble. There is a distinct difference in the meanings of these two words, 'Noble' and 'not noble. But, so far, the object comes under the permitted preview. This will remain permissible only if the Sadhak has before his eyes, the ultimate object of the spiritual emancipation of his soul. Whether the object is material or spiritual makes little difference in the initial time after achieving the desired result But at a later stage. When the person after equipping himself with power, of mastered Mantra, starts utilizing the power it remains to be seen how that power will developed. If evil intetoins enter into him later on, that power will positively start to dwindle. On the other hand, if the person continues utilising his power so obtained for the purpose of everything that is 'Good', then, this power is bound to increase. . In order to safeguard the man from entering into the undesirable realm, there have been composed certain Mantras which are pious in their very nature. These Mantras, have got power to change the mental outlook of persons who are evil in nature and undersirable in character. The greatest of all such pious and benevolent Mantras in known as Namaskar Mahamantra. This mantra has got the inherent qualities of a friend, philosopher, guide and also the guard. Namskar means prostitution-a bow. This is the English version of that Mantra :- . A Bow unto (thee) Arihanta A Bow unto (you) Sidhhas A Bow unto (you) Acharyas A Bow unto (you) Upadhyaya A Bow unto all those who are Sadhus These five prostations, destroy all the sins. 83 • Ell-fidot
