Taeņam devāņu ppiyāņam piyatathāyäe piyani vedemi piyanibhe bhavao ! Tattenam se Konie rāyā bhambhasāraputte tassa pavitti vāuyassa antie eyayaţtham soccänisammahatthatuţthe jāya hiyaye......... simhāsaņão abbhūtthei.........egasādiya uttarāsamgam karei......... amjali mauliya hatthe titthayarā bhimühe sattattha payāi anugacitti .........tikattu evam vayāsī............ņamotthunam arihamtānam ......... sampattānam......... Ibid, 11-18. The uttarāsariga position is the one, in which a Jain layman bows down ; he has to mask his mouth with a scarf, which should be a single piece of cloth without any joints, in order not to kill the lives of air. Namotthunam, which is also known as Sakkathui, (Sakrastuti, is a hymn to pay homage to the Tirthaikaras. This also indicates
that Konika was a Jain 'Śrāraka'. 3. Namotthunam samanassa bhagavao Mahāvīrassa ādikarassa, titha
