Please allow me to be with you to serve you. Mahavir replied King of gods ! It has never happened, nor will it ever happen that an Arihant (during his period of practices) desires for help from some one when he faces any trouble. A Tirthankar attains liberation only through his own inner strength and courage. Mahavir's answer made Indra bow his head with respect. He summoned one of his Vyantar gods* and instructed Prabhu Mahavir does not seek our services. However, to serve him is our duty. You will remain in his service all the time.
