According to Barbara Ann Brinnan, the author of the book 'Hands of Light' auras have a dualistic field pattern. Every other layer of an aura is highly structured.' The odd layers have a definite structure. The even layers are composed of fluid like substances without any particular structure and derive their form from the structures of the odd layers through which they flow. Each layer interpenetrates completely all the preceding layers including the physical body.
