________________ "One, who has no attachment, no egoism, no affectionate feeling, is devoid of high aspiration and treats all on equal footing; one who remains disinterested towards profit and loss, comforts and discomforts, life and death, praise and criticism, weleome and disgrace is in reality a man who has attained the stage of equality. One who denounces fear of punishment, in above the feeling of laughter and sorrows, and who has not been attracted by the bondage etc in true sense a man, who has accomplished the stage of equality. One who has no attachment towards either this (world) or other world and one who treats the both at par, who punches him with the shaft of sword or comforts him with the pacifying lotion of chandan is a true man, who has reached the stage of equality. One who has equal faith either in indulgence in worldly activities or in fasting (reep away by fasts), he is the true person who has crossed the barrier of inequality." -Uttaradhyayan Jain Education International For Private & Personal Use Only www.jainelibrary.org
