[५५१ पलिदोवमस्स असंखेज्जदिभागमेत्तेहि ठिदिखंडयघादेहि पलिदोवमस्स असंखेज्जदिभागमेत्तेण कालेण कम्मं हदसमुप्पत्तियं कादूण पुणरवि बादरपुढविजीवपज्जत्तएसु उपवण्णो ॥ ७० ॥
पल्योपमके असंख्यातवें भाग प्रमाण स्थितिकाण्डकघातशलाकाओंके द्वारा पल्योपमके असंख्यातवें भाग प्रमाण कालमें कर्मको हतसमुत्पत्तिक (हृस्व) करके फिर भी बादर पृथिवीकायिक पर्याप्त जीवोंमें उत्पन्न हुआ ॥ ७० ॥
एवं णाणाभवग्गहणेहि अट्ठ संजमकंडयाणि अणुपालइत्ता चदुक्खुत्तो कसाए उवसामइत्ता पलिदोवमस्स असंखेज्जदिभागमेत्ताणि संजमासंजमकंडयाणि सम्मत्तकंडयाणि च अणुपालइत्ता एवं संसरिदण अपच्छिमे भवग्गहणे पुणरवि-पुन्चकोडाउएसु मणुसेसु उबवण्णो ॥ ७१ ॥
___इस प्रकार नाना भवग्रहणोंके द्वारा आठ संयमकाण्डकोंका पालन करके, चार बार कवायोंको उपशमा करके तथा पल्योपमके असंख्यातवें भाग मात्र संयमासंयमकाण्डकों व सम्यक्त्वकाण्डकों का पालन करके; इस प्रकार परिभ्रमण कर अन्तिम भवग्रहणमें फिरसे भी पूर्वकोटि आयुवाले मनुष्योमें उत्पन्न हुआ ॥ ७१ ॥
____ अभिप्राय यह है कि चार बार संयमको प्राप्त करनेपर एक संयमकाण्डक पूर्ण होता है । ऐसे संयमकाण्डक अधिकसे अधिक आठ ही होते हैं। कारण यह कि इसके पश्चात् जीव संसारमें नहीं रहता-- वह नियमसे मुक्त होता है- इन संयमकाण्डकोंमें कषायकी उपशामना (उपशमश्रेणिपर आरोहण ) चार बार ही होता है, इससे अधिक बार वह सम्भव नहीं है। इतने संयमकाण्डकोंमें जीव संयमासंयमकाण्डकोंको अधिकसे अधिक पल्योपमके असंख्यातवें भाग तथा सम्यक्त्वकाण्डकोंकों वह इनसे विशेष अधिक करता है।
सव्वलहुँ जोणिणिक्खमणजम्मणेण जादो अवस्सीओ ॥ ७२ ॥
वहां सर्वलघु (सात मास) कालमें योनिनिष्क्रमण रूप जन्मसे उत्पन्न होकर आठ वर्षका हुआ ॥ ७२ ॥
संजमं पडिवण्णो ॥ ७३ ॥ उसी समय समयको प्राप्त हुआ ॥ ७३ ॥
तत्थ भवट्ठिदि पुब्बकोडिं देसूर्ण संजममणुपालइत्ता थोवावसेसे जीविदव्वए त्ति य खवणाए अन्भुट्टिदो ॥ ७४ ॥
__ वहां कुछ कम पूर्वकोटि मात्र भवस्थिति तक संयमका परिपालन करके जीवितके थोडासा शेष रह जानेपर क्षपणामें उद्यत हुआ ॥ ७४ ॥
