जदा जदा आउअं बंधदि तदा तदा तप्पा ओग्गुक्कस्सजोगेण बंधदि ॥ ५२ ॥ जब जब आयुको बांधता है तब तब जो उसके योग्य उत्कृष्ट योगसे ही उसे बांधता है ॥ उवरिल्लीणं द्विदीणं णिसेयस्स जहण्णपदे हेट्ठिल्लीणं ट्ठिदीणं णिसेयस्स उक्कस्सपदे || जो उपरिम स्थितियोंके निषेकका जघन्य पद और अधस्तन स्थितियोंके निषेकका उत्कृष्ट पद करता है ॥ ५३ ॥
अभिप्राय यह है क्षपित - घोलमान और गुणित - घोलमानके अपकर्षणसे क्षपितकर्माशिकका अपकर्षण बहुत और उन्हींके उत्कर्षणसे उसका उत्कर्षण स्तोक होता है 1
यहां सूत्रमें किये गये ‘बहुसो बहुसो' इस निर्देशसे यह अभिप्राय समझना चाहिये कि कदाचित् जघन्ययोगस्थानोंके असम्भव होनेपर जो एक आद्यवार उत्कृष्ट योगस्थानको भी प्राप्त होता है ।
बहुसो बहुसो जहण्णाणि जोगट्ठाणाणि गच्छदि ॥ ५४ ॥
बहुत बहुत बार जो जघन्य योगस्थानोंको प्राप्त होता है ॥ ५४ ॥
बहुसो बहुसो मंदसंकिलेसपरिणामो भवदि ।। ५५ ॥
बहुत बहुत बार जो मन्द संक्केशरूप परिणामोंसे युक्त होता है ॥ ५५ ॥ एवं संसरिदूण बादरपुढविजीवपज्जत्तएसु उववण्णो ॥ ५६ ॥
इस प्रकार परिभ्रमण करके जो बादर पृथिवीकायिक पर्याप्त जीवोंमें उत्पन्न हुआ है || अंतोमुहुत्तेण सव्वलहुं सव्वाहि पज्जत्तीहि पज्जत्तयदो ॥ ५७ ॥ अन्तर्मुहूर्त कालद्वारा सर्वलघु कालमें जो सब पर्याप्तियोंसे पर्याप्त हुआ है ॥ ५७ ॥
पर्याप्तियोंकी पूर्णताका काल जघन्य भी एक समय आदिरूप नहीं है, किन्तु अन्तर्मुहूर्त मात्र ही हैं; इस बातका ज्ञान करानेके लिये सूत्रमें ' अन्तर्मुहूर्त' पदका ग्रहण किया है । अंतोमुहुत्तेण कालगदसमाणो पुत्रकोडाउएस मणुसे सुवणो ॥ ५८ ॥
अन्तर्मुहूर्त कालमें जो मृत्युको प्राप्त होकर पूर्वकोटि आयुवाले मनुष्यों में उत्पन्न हुआ है | पूर्वकोटि आयुवाले मनुष्योंमें चूंकि संयमगुणश्रेणिके द्वारा दीर्घ काल तक संचित कर्मकी निर्जरा की जा सकती है; अत एव सूत्रमें 'पूर्वकोटि आयुवाले मनुष्योंमें उत्पन्न हुआ' ऐसा कहा गया है ।
सव्वलहुँ जोणिणिक्ख मगजम्मणेण जादो अट्ठवस्सीओ ।। ५९ ।।
सर्वलघु कालमें योनि से निकलनेरूप जन्मसे उत्पन्न होकर आठ वर्षका हुआ ॥ ५९ ॥ गर्भ में आने के प्रथम समयसे लेकर कोई जीव सात मास ही गर्भमें रहकर उससे निकलते हैं, कोई आठ मास, कोई नौ मास और कितने ही जीव दस मास रहकर उस गर्भसे निकलते हैं ।
