५. दव्वपमाणाणुगमो
दव्वपमाणाणुगमेण गदियाणुवादेण णिरयगदीए णेरइया दव्वपमाणेण

द्रव्यप्रमाणानुगमसे गतिमार्गणानुसार नरकगतिमें नारकी जीव द्रव्यप्रमाणसे कितने हैं ? ॥ असंखेज्जा ॥ २ ॥
नरकगतिमें नारकी जीव द्रव्यप्रमाणसे असंख्यात हैं ॥ २ ॥
असंखेज्जासंखेज्जाहि ओसप्पिणि उस्सपिणीहि अवहिरंति कालेण || ३ ||
कालकी अपेक्षा नारकी जीव असंख्याता संख्यात अवसर्पिणी और उत्सर्पिणियोंसे अपहृत होते हैं ॥ ३ ॥
खेतेण असंखेज्जाओ सेडीओ || ४ || पदरस्स असंखेज्जदिभागो ॥ ५ ॥
क्षेत्रकी अपेक्षा उक्त नारकी जीव असंख्यात जगश्रेणी प्रमाण हैं ॥ ४ ॥ वे जगप्रतरके असंख्यातवें भाग मात्र असंख्यात जगश्रेणी प्रमाण हैं ॥ ५ ॥
तासिंडीणं विक्खभसूची अंगुलवग्गमूलं बिदियवग्गमूलगुणिदेण || ६ || उन जगश्रेणियोंकी विष्कम्भसूची सूच्यंगुलके द्वितीय वर्गमूलसे गुणित उसके प्रथम वर्गमूल प्रमाण है ॥ ६ ॥
एवं पढमाए पुढवीए रइया ॥ ७ ॥
इसी प्रकार प्रथम पृथिवीके नारकियोंका द्रव्यप्रमाण है ॥ ७ ॥
यहां प्रथम पृथिवीके नारकियोंका प्रमाण जो सामान्य नारकियोंके बराबर बतलाया गया है वह प्रतर असंख्यातवें भाग मात्र असंख्यात जगश्रेणीरूप आलापकी अपेक्षा समझना चाहिये । वस्तुतः प्रथम पृथिवीके नारकी सामान्य नारकियोंसे कम हैं। उनकी विष्कम्भसूची एक रूपके असंख्यातवें भागसे कम है ।
बिदियाए जाव सत्तमाए पुढवीए णेरइया दव्वपमाणेण केवडिया ? ॥ ८ ॥ द्वितीय पृथिवीसे लेकर सातवीं पृथिवी तक प्रत्येक पृथिवीके नारकी द्रव्यप्रमाणसे कितने हैं ? ॥ ८ ॥
असंखेज्जा || ९ ||
द्वितीयादि छह पृथिवियोंके नारकी द्रव्यप्रमाणसे असंख्यात हैं ॥ ९ ॥ असंखेज्जासंखेज्जाहि ओसप्पिणि-उस्सप्पिणीहि अवहिरंति कालेण ॥ १० ॥
द्वितीय पृथिवीसे लेकर सातवीं पृथिवी तक प्रत्येक पृथिवीके नारकी कालकी अपेक्षा असंख्यातासंख्यात अवसर्पिणी और उत्सर्पिणियोंसे अपहृत होते हैं ॥ १० ॥
