एवं सत्तसु पुढवीसु गेरइया ॥ ४ ॥ इस प्रकार सातों पृथिवियोंके नारकी जीवोंका नरकगतिसे अन्तर होता है ॥ ४ ॥ तिरिक्खगदीए तिरिक्खाणमंतरं केवचिरं कालादो होदि ? ॥५॥ तिर्यंचगतिमें तिर्यंच जीवोंका अन्तर कितने काल होता है ॥ ५॥ जहण्णेण खुद्दाभवग्गहणं ॥ ६॥ तिर्यंचगतिमें तिर्यंचोंका अन्तर कमसे कम क्षुद्रभवग्रहण मात्र काल तक होता है ॥ ६ ॥
तिर्यंचोंमेंसे मनुष्योंमें उत्पन्न होकर और वहां क्षुद्रभवग्रहण मात्र काल तक रहकर फिरसे तियचोंमें उत्पन्न हुए जीवके उपर्युक्त जघन्य काल पाया जाता है।
उक्कस्सेण सागरोवमसदपुधत्तं ॥७॥ उनका वह अन्तर अधिकसे अधिक सागरोपमशतपृथक्त्व काल तक होता है ॥ ७ ॥

जहण्णेण खुद्दाभवग्गहणं ॥९॥ उनका अन्तर कमसे कम क्षुद्रभवग्रहण काल तक होता है ॥ ९ ॥ उक्कस्सेण अणंतकालमसंखेज्जा पोग्गलपरियट्टा ॥ १० ॥
उनका वह अन्तर अधिकसे अधिक असंख्यात पुद्गल परिवर्तन प्रमाण अनन्त काल तक होता है ॥ १० ॥
