अन्तरकरण करके वह मिथ्यात्व कर्मके तीन भाग करता है- सम्यक्त्व, मिथ्यात्व और सम्यग्मिथ्यात्व ॥ ७ ॥
दंसणमोहणीयं कम्म उवसामेदि ॥ ८॥ इस प्रकारसे वह दर्शनमोहनीय कर्मको उपशमाता है ॥ ८ ॥
उवसामेंतो कम्हि उवसामेदि ? चदुसु वि गदीसु उवसामेदि। चदुसु वि गदीसु उवसातो पंचिंदिएसु उवसामेदि, णो एइंदिय-विगलिंदिएसु । पंचिंदिएसु उवसामेंतो सण्णीसु उवसामेदि, णो असण्णीसु । सण्णीसु उवसातो गब्भोवकंतिएसु उवसामेदि, णो सम्मुच्छिमेसु । गब्भोवकंतिएसु उवसामेंतो पज्जत्तएसु उवसामेदि, णो अपज्जत्तएसु । पज्जत्तएसु उवसातो संखेज्जवस्साउगेसु वि उवसामेदि असंखेज्जवस्साउगेसु वि ॥९॥
दर्शनमोहनीय कर्मको उपशमाता हुआ यह जीव उसे कहां उपशमाता है ? वह उसे चारों ही गतियोंमें उपशमाता है। चारों ही गतियोंमें उपशमाता हुआ पंचेन्द्रियोंमें उपशमाता है, न कि एकेन्द्रिय और विकलेन्द्रियोंमें । पंचेन्द्रियोंमें उपशमाता हुआ संज्ञियोंमें उपशमाता है,न कि असंज्ञियोंमें। संज्ञियोंमें उपशमाता हुआ गर्भोपक्रान्तिकों (गर्भजों) में उपशमाता है, न कि संमूर्च्छनोंमें । गर्भोपक्रान्तिकोंमें उपशमाता हुआ पर्याप्तकोंमें उपशमाता है, न कि अपर्याप्तकोंमें । पर्याप्तकोंमें उपशमाता हुआ संख्यात वर्षकी आयुवाले जीवोंमें भी उपशमाता है और असंख्यात वर्षकी आयुवाले जीवोंमें भी उपशमाता है ॥ ९॥
उवसामणा वा केसु व खेत्तेसु कस्स व मूल ? ॥१०॥ वह दर्शनमोहनीयकी उपशामना किन क्षेत्रोंमें और किसके पासमें होती है ? ॥१०॥
इसका समाधान यह है कि उस दर्शनमोहनीयकी उपशामना किसी भी क्षेत्रमें और किसीके भी समीपमें हो सकती है- इसके लिये कोई विशेष नियम नहीं है ।
दंसणमोहणीयं कम्म खवेदुमाढवतो कम्हि आढवेदि ? अड्ढाइज्जेसु दीव-समुद्देसु पण्णारसकम्मभूमीसु जम्हि जिणा केवली तित्थयरा तम्हि आढवेदि ॥ ११ ॥
दर्शनमोहनीय कर्मकी क्षपणाको प्रारम्भ करनेवाला जीव कहांपर उसे प्रारम्भ करता है ? अढाई द्वीप-समुद्रोंके भीतर स्थित पन्द्रह कर्मभूमियोंमें- जहां जिन, केवली अथवा तीर्थंकर होते हैंउसको प्रारम्भ करता है ॥ ११॥
सूत्रमें 'पण्णारसकम्मभूमीसु' ऐसा कहनेपर उन पन्द्रह कर्मभूमियोंमें उत्पन्न होनेवाले मनुष्योंको ग्रहण करना चाहिये, क्योंकि, दर्शनमोहनीयकी क्षपणाका प्रारम्भक मनुष्य ही होता है। परन्तु उसका निष्ठापन (समाप्ति) चारों गतियोंमें भी सम्भव है। इसी प्रकार सूत्रमें प्रयुक्त ‘जम्हि' पदसे यह अभिप्राय समझना चाहिये कि जिस कालमें केवली जिनोंकी सम्भावना है उसी कालमें
