English Translation (preserving Jain terms):
[267 1, 9-1, 28] The Jīvatthaṇa-cūliyāe Paryāptiṇaṃ are hāsya (laughter), rati (attachment), arati (aversion), śoka (sorrow), bhaya (fear) and juguppsā (disgust). 24
In the term 'nokasāya', the word 'no' should be understood as denoting partial negation. The implication is that nokasāya refers to a slight kasāya (passions). Since their state and intensity are less than that of the kasāyas, they are called nokasāya.
The karmaskandhās (karmic aggregates) whose rise gives rise to the desire for a male are called strīveda. The karmaskandhās whose rise gives rise to the desire for a female are called puruṣaveda. The karmaskandhās whose rise gives rise to the desire for both male and female, like the fire of a brick kiln, are called napuṃsakaveda. The karmaskandhās whose rise gives rise to the laughter-inducing attachment in the jīva are called hāsya nokasāya. The karmaskandhās whose rise gives rise to the attachment towards the substance, space, time and modes of the jīva are called rati nokasāya. The karmaskandhās whose rise gives rise to the aversion towards the substance, space, time and modes of the jīva are called arati nokasāya. The karmaskandhās whose rise gives rise to sorrow in the jīva are called śoka nokasāya. The karmaskandhās whose rise gives rise to fear in the jīva are called bhaya nokasāya. The karmaskandhās whose rise gives rise to disgust in the jīva are called juguppsā nokasāya.
The four prakṛtis (types) of āyuḥ-karma (life-determining karma) are: 25 Nāraka-āyu, Tiryag-āyu, Manuṣya-āyu and Deva-āyu. 26
The karmaskandhās whose rise causes the jīva with an upward-going nature to reside in the nāraka (hell) realm are called nāraka-āyu. The karmaskandhās whose rise causes the jīva to reside in the tiryañc (animal) realm are called tiryag-āyu. Similarly, one should understand the nature of manuṣya-āyu and deva-āyu.
The forty-two piṇḍa-prakṛtis (atomic-level prakṛtis) of nāma-karma (name-determining karma) are: 27 Gati-nāma, Jāti-nāma, Śarīra-nāma, Śarīra-bandha-nāma, Śarīra-saṃghāta-nāma, Śarīra-saṃhāṇa-nāma, Śarīrāṅgopāṅga-nāma, Śarīra-saṃghāṇa-nāma, Varṇa-nāma, Gandha-nāma, Rasa-nāma, Sparśa-nāma, Ānupūrvī-nāma, Aguru-alāghava-nāma, Upādhāta-nāma, Parāghāta-nāma, Ucchvāsa-nāma, Ādāna-nāma, Ujjvala-nāma, Vihāyogati-nāma, Trasa-nāma, Sthāvara-nāma, Bādara-nāma, Sūkṣma-nāma, Paryāpta-nāma, Aparyāpta-nāma, Paryāpti-nāma...
