1. In the Appabahuganuname Sanjammaggana,
[249] The number of Ksapaka Jivas is innumerable times more than the Upashamaka Shuddhasamyatas (pure ascetics) in Samayika and Chedopasthapana.
The Apramattasamyatas (vigilant ascetics) are innumerable times more than the Akshapaka and Anupashama.
2. In the same two Samyatas, the Pramattasamyatas (negligent ascetics) are innumerable times more than the Apramattasamyatas.
3. Among the Pramatta-Apramattasamyata-sthanas (stages of ascetics), the Upashamasamyagdristi (equanimous right faith) is the least.
4. The Ksayikasamyagdristi (destructive right faith) is innumerable times more than the Upashamasamyagdristi.
5. The Vedakasamyagdristi (intuitive right faith) is innumerable times more than the Ksayikasamyagdristi.
6. Similarly, the Apurvakarana and Anivrittikarana (attainment of new and non-receding right faith) in these guna-sthanas (stages of spiritual development) should be known.
7. The Upashamaka (equanimous) are the least in these two Samyatas.

8. In the Pariharashuddhasamyatas (ascetics with purification through expiation), the Apramattasamyatas are the least.
The Pramattasamyatas are innumerable times more than the Apramattasamyatas.
9. In the Pramatta-Apramattasamyata-sthanas of the Pariharashuddhasamyatas, the Ksayikasamyagdristi is the least.
The Vedakasamyagdristi is innumerable times more than the Ksayikasamyagdristi.
