6. However, the non-restraint (asaṃyatatva) of the non-restrained right-believer (asaṃyata-samyag-dṛṣṭi) is due to the arising (audayika) state.
7. What are the states of the restrained-unrestrained (saṃyata-asaṃyata), the careless-restrained (pramatta-saṃyata), and the vigilant-restrained (apramatta-saṃyata)? They are kṣāyopaśamika (arising-subsiding) states.
8. What is the state that subsides the four (caturṇham upasama)? It is an upaśamika (subsiding) state.
9. What are the states of the four kṣapaka (destroyers), the sāyogikevali, and the ayogikevali? They are kṣāyika (destroyed) states.
10. By the principle of the gati-mārganā (course of existence), what is the state of the micchaditthi (wrong-belief) among the nāraki (hell-beings) in the niraya-gati (hell-existence)? It is an audayika (arising) state.
