मार्गणास्थानोंके स्पर्शनकी प्ररूपणा की गई है । गुणस्थानोंकी स्पर्शनप्ररूपणा जीवसमासमें डेढ़ गाथामें कही गई है, जब कि षट्खण्डागममें वह ९ सूत्रोंमें वर्णित है । दोनोंका मिलान कीजिए
जीवसमास-गाथामिच्छेहिं सव्वलोओ सासण-मिस्सेहि अजय-देसेहिं । पुट्ठा चउदसभागा बारस अट्ठट्ठ छच्चेव ॥ १९५ ।। सेसेह ऽ संखभागो फुसिओ लोगो सजोगिकेवलिहिं ।

____ कालप्ररूपणा करते हुए जीवसमासमें सबसे पहले चारों गतिके जीवोंकी विस्तारके साथ भवस्थिति और कायस्थिति बताई गई है, क्योंकि उसके जाने विना गुणस्थानों और मार्गणास्थानोंकी काल-प्ररूपणा ठीक ठीक नहीं जानी जा सकती है। तदनन्तर एक और नाना जीवोंकी अपेक्षा गुणस्थानों और मार्गणास्थानोंकी कालप्ररूपणा की गई है । गुणस्थानोंकी प्ररूपणा जीवसमासमें ७॥ गाथाओंमें की गई है तब षटखण्डागममें वह ३१ सूत्रोंमें की गई है । विस्तारके भयसे यहां दोनोंके उद्धरण नहीं दिये जा रहे हैं। जीवसमासमें कालभेदवाली कुछ मुख्य मुख्य मार्गणाओंकी कालप्ररूपणा करके अन्तमें कहा गया है
एत्थ य जीवसमासे अणुमग्गिय सुहुम-निउणमइकुसले ।
सुहुमं कालविभागं विमएज सुयम्मि उवजुत्तो ॥ २४० ॥
अर्थात् सूक्ष्म एवं निपुण बुद्धिवाले कुशल जनोंको चाहिए कि वे जीवसमासके इस स्थलपर श्रुतज्ञानमें उपयुक्त होकर अनुक्त मार्गणाओंके सूक्ष्म काल-विभागका अनुमार्गण करके शिष्य जनोंको उसका भेद प्रतिपादन करें ।
