શ્રી જૈન ક્ષેત્ર કા. હે.
તેથી પહેલાંના શ્રાવકો અને સાધુઓએ સાશન પ્રભાવનાનાં કેવાં કેવાં કાર્ય કર્યા છે તેને
ખ્યાલ આવી શકશે. આવો સંગ્રહ જૈન એતિહાસિક ગૂર્જરકાવ્ય સંચય મુનિ મહારાજ શ્રી જિનવિજયજી પણ પ્રકટ કરવાના છે, તેથી બિન હશે, આમ બંને સંગ્રહ પ્રસિદ્ધ થશે તેથી ઘણો લાભ સમાજને થશે.
ઐતિહાસિક સઝાયમાલા–આમાં પણ જુદા જુદા આચાર્યો મુનિવરની બહુળી ( ગુરૂસ્તુતિ ) રૂપે બનાવેલી સઝાયને સમાવેશ કરવામાં આવશે.
યશોભદ્રસૂરિરાસ-રચનાર કવિવર્ય શ્રી લાવણ્યસમય ગણિ, તેમણે વિમલપ્રબંધ ચેલે છે, તે વિદ્વાન રા. મણિલાલ બકોરભાઈ વ્યાસ તરફથી સંશોધિત થઈ બહાર પડયો છે. આ રાસમાં સંડેર ગચ્છના યશોભદ્રસૂરિ હરષિ અને બલભદ્ર ઋષિનાં વૃત્તાંત છે.
આ સિવાય બીજા પણ અતિહાસિક પુ તથા પ્રાચીન સ્તવન સંગ્રહ વગેરે ક્રમશ: છપાવાનાં છે એ જાણી ૫રમ પ્રમાદ થાય છે.
વડોદરામાં રા. ચિમનલાલ ડાહ્યાભાઈ દલાલ એમ. એ. એ મહામંત્રી વરૂપાલ રચિત નરનારાયણનંદ કાવ્ય છપાવ્યું છે અને તેમાં આબુગિરિમાં કરેલી વસ્તુપાલની મૂર્તિને બ્લોક પણ મુકવામાં આવશે. આ ગ્રંથ છેડા વખતમાં પ્રકટ થશે. આ માં રા. દલાલને ધન્યવાદ આપીએ છીએ.
કાગડાઓને શુ શાંતિથી રહેવાને હક નથી? બ્રહ્મદેશને ટાઇમ્સ ઓફ ઇડિઆને ખબરપત્રી જે જણાવે છે તે તેના ૨૮ મી જુલાઇ ૨૬ ના અંકમાં પ્રગટ થયેલ છે. એમાં જેનોના સંબંધમાં જે કંઈ જણાવેલું છે તે પણ માટે ઉપયોગી હોવાથી અહીં તેને ઉતારે મૂકીએ છીએ – The Crow and his Friends.
One might possibly think that the manners of the crow would have alienated the most tolerant of men brought into daily contact with jhim. But he has found friends amon zst the Jains and Hindus of Mogul Street, who have petitioned the President of the Municipality against the destruction of nests and nestlings. In their memorial they assert that “the Jains abstain from killing even bugs and mosquitoes...... The crows are set crying in wholesal.. and your petitioners are provoked and get discontented and can hardly attend to their business in a cool and calm mood...... The very constitution of the Jains and Hindus is rich that they cannot bear the sight of any crows being disturbed ”. This interpretation of the command “ Thou shalt nou kill ” is a capital illustration of the tendency of religion to degenerate into ritual. It raises the question how far any man is entitled to force bis religious prejudices on the rest of i he community. Less than
