RESOLUTIONS PASSED BY THE STANDING COMMITTEE OF SHRI
JAIN SWETAMBER CONFERENCE IN ITS MEETING
HELD ON TUESDAY 29TH MAY 1928. 1. This Meeting of the Standing Committee of Shri Jain Swetamber Conference
is of opinion that the compromise arrived at between the Jain Community and His Highness the Thakore Saheb of Palitana on the 26th day of May
1928 at Simla, is satisfactory and acceptable. 2. This Meeting of the Standing Committee of Shri Jain Swetamber Conference
expresses its deep sense of gratitude to His Excellency the Viceroy and Governor General of India for the sincere efforts made by His Excellency in bringing about the said compromise and preserving the rights of the Jain
Community as British Subjects. 3. This Meeting of the Standing Committee of Shri Jain Swetamber Conference
appreciates the attitude of His Highness the Thakore Saheb of palitana shown by His Highness in arriving at the said Compromise and wishes that cordial relations between the Jain Community and His Highness will continue for ever. This meeting has heard with great pleasure the news that His Highness is going to perform the Opening Cermony of the pilgrimage on first of June 1928 and sincerly thanks His Highness for the same, This Meeting highly appreciates the selfless and valuable services rendered by the Managing Representatives of Seth Anandji Kalianji, Seth Kikabhai Premchand and other members of the Commitee of Seven in the struggle of the Community and heartily congratulates and offers them its sincere thanks for bringing about a satisfactory compromise. This Meeting of the Standing Committee of Shri Jain Swetamber Conference declares that the Pilgrimage to Palitana is open from first June 1928 and requests the Jains all over India to be present and take part at the opening ceremony of the pilgrimage. This meeting heartily congratulates the Jains all over India for preserving complete Unity and observing Yatra Tyaga in vindicating their rights over their most sacred Tirtha. This Meeting highly appreciates the selfless and valuable services rendered to the Community by all the members of the Shatrunjaya Propaganda Committee appointed by the Special Session of this Conference and expresses its sense of thankfulness to them. This Meeting of the Standing Committee of Shri Jain Swetamber Conference expresses its sincere thanks to all the local and moffusil papers which have supported the sacred and just cause of the Community.
