certainty what stars, millions of miles a way are made of. He knows thoroughly the constitution of atoms and molecules, but about himself he knows practically nothing and today there are people around us who talk about Dharma and die for Dharma but rarely do we come across a Sadhaka who lives for Dharma. A Jaina Sadhaka begins his prayer as :
namastubhyam, namastubhyaṁ, namastubhyaṁ namo namah and ends with the prayer at the end of his Sādhanā as namo mahyaṁ, namo mahyaṁ, namo mahyam namo namah.
Thus we see that the Sādhanā of destryoing the heaps of karma is to be done by the self, for the self, by establishing the self in the self.
The river flows between the two banks, the sun rises in the east and sets in the west always and everything else seems to be moving in an orderly way. Be it in the sports' field or in the laboratory concentration, discipline and determination is required to achieve the desired goal, why then man does not acquire and exhibit the same in his life to make his existence worthwhile and the world a place to live in.
Finally I shall conclude with the significance of the study of Yoga and Sadhanā in modern times. When values and morals are on a steady fall, communalism, dogmatism, fanaticism on the rise, spiritualty and humanity at stake, it is important that we first work hard to restore the brotherhood of man, look upon others as we look upon ourselves, only then we shall succeed in achieving the Sädhya of our Sadhanā, otherwise talking of Yoga and Sādhanā would be like asking for the stars when you are starving for food, water and shelters. How is it possible to achieve. The Sādhya of being Jñātā, Draştā or Sthitiprajña or a Samādhistha Sādhaka when the essential requirment of Right understanding of the self is absent.
From the green revolution, came the industrial revolution, after this we saw the awakening of the independence revolution and now the information revolution is at large catching the eyes of the masses. But very soon we will be heading towards a spiritual revolution
