a varlant of थिण्ण-It derives from Sk. स्त्यान- and like थद्ध-(<Sk. स्तन्ध-) has developed a metaphorical sense Note PL. 129 .

In the Ms. seems to be a corruption of रयणी. 3. According to DN. 2, 12 ककेल्ली means the Asoka tree.
सहाला possibly stands for साहालो, which is noted in PSM. In the sense of a tree in genersl. It corresponds to sk. शाखाल-(1.8.
