षड्द्रव्य-पंचास्तिकायवर्णन कथमिति चेत् ? विवरणरूपमाचार्यवचनं व्याख्यानम्, गाथासूत्रं व्याख्येयमिति व्याख्यानव्याख्येय. संबंधः । द्रव्यागमरूपशब्दसमयोऽभिधानं वाचकः तेन शब्दसमयेन वाच्यः पंचास्तिकायलक्षणोर्थसमयोऽभिधेय इति अभिधानाभिधेयलक्षणसंबन्धः, फलं प्रयोजनं चाज्ञानविच्छित्त्यादि निर्वाणसुखपर्यन्तमिति सम्बन्धाभिधेयप्रयोजनानि ज्ञातव्यानि भवन्तीति भावार्थः ।।२।। एवमिष्टाभिमतदेवतानमस्कारमुख्यतया गाथाद्वयेन प्रथमस्थलं गतम् ।
हिंदी तात्पर्यवृत्ति गाथा-२ उत्थानिका-आगे द्रव्य शास्त्ररूप शब्दागमको नमस्कार करके पंचास्तिकायरूय अर्थसमयको कहूँगा ऐसी प्रतिज्ञा करते हुए अधिकारमें प्राप्त अपने माननीय देवताको नमस्कार करनेसे सम्बन्ध अभिथेय तथा प्रयोजनको सूचित करता हूँ ऐसा अभिप्राय मनमें धारकर आगे का सूत्र कहते हैं
अन्वय सहित सामान्यार्थ-( एसो) यह मैं जो हूँ कुन्दकुन्दाचार्य सो ( समणमुहुग्गदं) वीतराग सर्वज्ञ महाश्रमणके मुखसे प्रगट ( चदुग्गदिणिवारणं) नरकादि चारों गतियोंको दूर करनेवाले, ( सणिव्वाणं) व सर्व कर्मोंके क्षय रूप निर्वाणको देनेवाले ( अट्ठ) जीवादि पदार्थ समूहको (सिरसा) उत्तम अंग मस्तकसे ( पणमिय) नमस्कार करके (इणं समयं) इस शब्द आगम पंचास्तिकायको ( वोच्छामि ) कहूँगा ( सुणह ) हे भव्यजीवो ! उसको सुनो।
भावार्थ-वह जिनेन्द्रका वचन जो गंभीर है, मीठा है, अतिमनहरण करनेवाला है, दोषरहित है, हितकारी है, कंठ, ओठ आदि वचनके कारणों से रहित है, पवनके रोकने से प्रगट नहीं है, स्पष्ट है, परम उपकारी पदार्थों का कहनेवाला है, सब भाषामयी है, दूर व निकटको समान सुनाई देता है, समता रूप है व उपमारहित है सो हमारी रक्षा करो।
भावार्थ-जिससे अज्ञान अंधकारका पसारा दूर हो जाता है तथा जिससे जाननेयोग्य हितकारी और अहितकारी पदार्थोंको जानलेनेपर अहितका त्याग, हितका ग्रहण तथा परम वैराग्य प्राणी को प्राप्त होता है जिसके द्वारा सम्यग्दर्शन प्रगट हो, परमतकी श्रद्धा दूर हटती है. व जिसके द्वारा रात्रि दिन मिथ्या चारित्र दूर रहता है ऐसे ज्ञानरूपी परम सूर्यका उदय मेरे मनरूपी कमलके विकसित करनेको होवे अथवा दूसरा व्याख्यान इस प्रकार है-ग्रन्थ करने में उद्यमशील यह जो मैं कुन्दकुन्दाचार्य सो श्रमण मुख से प्रगट तथा पंचास्तिकाय लक्षणवाले अर्थसमय को कहनेवाले और परम्परा चतुर्गति को दूर करने से निर्वाण को देनेवाले प्रत्यक्षीभूत शब्दरूप द्रव्य आगमको नमस्कार करके ज्ञानसमयकी प्रसिद्धि के लिये
