उत्तर : रत्नप्रभा पृथ्वी के नारकी जीव अपने अवधिज्ञान से ४ कोस तक जानते हैं। शर्कराप्रभा के ३३ कोस, बालुकाप्रभा के ३ कोस. पंकप्रभा के २१ कोस, धूमप्रभा के ३ कोस, तमामा के १३ कोस और महातमःप्रभा के नारकी जीव मात्र १ कोस तक
पाने अवविजन से जान करते हैं, इसके आगे नहीं। ३०. प्रश्न : नारकी अपने अवधिज्ञान द्वारा क्या यह जान
सकता है कि यह अगले मय में कहाँ पर उत्पन्न होगा
और पूर्व पर्याय में कहाँ था ? उत्तर : नारकियों में अविधज्ञान का उत्कृष्ट क्षेत्र योजन प्रमाण है और । काल एक समय कम मुहूर्त प्रमाण है। नरक से मरण कर जीव मध्यलोक में उत्पन्न होता है तथा मध्यलोक से ही जीव नरक में उत्पन्न होता है
और यह क्षेत्र एक योजन से बहुत अधिक है अर्थात् अवधिज्ञान के क्षेत्र से बाहर है अतः नारकी यह नहीं जान सकता कि वह मरकर कहाँ पर उत्पन्न होगा और पूर्व में कौन-सी पर्याय में कहाँ था।
