३१. प्रश्न : प्रथमादि पृथ्वियों में जन्म-मरण का अन्तर
कितना होता है ? उत्तर : प्रथमादि पृथ्वियों में जन्म-मरण के अन्तर का प्रमाण क्रमशः चौबीस मुहूर्त, सात दिन, एक पक्ष, एक माह, दो माह, चार माह और छह माह है अर्थात् प्रथमादि पृथ्वियों में कोई नारकी जन्म-मरण न करे तो अधिक से अधिक इतने समय तक न करे, इसक वाद तो नियम से किसी का जन्म-मरण होता ही
है।
