१३६. प्रश्न: वेद किसे कहते हैं ? उसके कितने भेद हैं और उसका स्वरूप क्या है ?
उत्तर : वेद नोकषाय के उदय तथा उदीरणा होने से जीव के परिणामों में बड़ा भारी मोह उत्पन्न होता है उसे वेद कहते हैं। मोह के कारण जीव गुण और दोष का विचार नहीं करता है। वेद के दो भेद हैं- (१) भाववेद और द्रव्यवेद | भाववेद : अन्तरंग में पुरुषवेद, स्त्रीवेद और नपुंसकवेद के उदय से जो रमण की इच्छा होती है, उसे भाववेद कहते हैं। द्रव्यवेद : अंगोपांग नामकर्म के उदय से जो शरीर की रचना होती है, उसे द्रव्यवेद कहते हैं ।
वेद के तीन भेद भी हैं
( १ ) पुरुषवेद ( २ ) स्त्रीवेद और ( ३ ) नपुंसकवेद । नारकियों में नपुंसकवेद, देवों में स्त्रीवेद एवं पुरुषवेद तथा शेष जीवों में तीनों वेद होते हैं। देव नारकी में द्रव्यवेद और भाववेद की समानता रहती है परन्तु कर्मभूमि के मनुष्य और तिर्यचों में कहीं विषमता भी पायी जाती है

There are also three types of Vedas
(1) **Purushaved** (2) **Strived** and (3) **Napunsakaved**. **Napunsakaved** is present in hell beings, **Strived** and **Purushaved** in gods and all three Vedas are present in the remaining beings. There is similarity in **Dravyaved** and **Bhavaved** in gods and hell beings, but there is also some disparity in humans and animals of the **Karmabhoomi**.
