का उत्कृष्ट काल छह माह और अन्तर्मुहूर्त कम एक पूर्व कोटि वर्ष का त्रिभाग अधिक तेतीस सागर है। क्योंकि जब एक पूर्व कोटि वर्ष प्रमाण आयु वाले किसी मनुष्य या तिथंच के आयु का एक विभाग शेष रहने पर अन्तर्मुहूर्त काल तक परभव सम्बन्धी आयु का बंध होता है, अनन्तर जगणन आयु के समाप्त हो जाने पर वन् जीव तेतीस सागर प्रमाण उत्कृष्ट आयु वाले दंवों में या नारकों में उत्पन्न होकर और वहाँ आयु के छह माह शेष रहने पर पुनः परभव सम्बन्धी आयु का बंध करता है, तब उसके सात प्रकृतिक बंधस्थान का उत्कष्ट काल प्राप्त होता है।
छह प्रकृतिक बंधस्थान का जघन्यकाल एक समय और उत्कृष्ट काल अन्तर्मुहूर्त है। इसका कारण यह है कि छह प्रकृतिक बंधस्थान का स्वामी सूक्ष्मसम्पराध गुणस्थानवी जीव है । अतः उक्त गुणस्थान वाला जो उपशामक जीब उपशम श्रेणि पर चढ़ते समय या उतरते समय एक समय तक मूक्ष्मसम्पराय गुणस्थान में रहता है और मर कर दूसरे समय में अविरत सम्यग्दृष्टि देव हो जाता है, उसके छह प्रकृतिक बंधस्थान का जघन्यकाल एक समय होता है तथा छह प्रकृतिक बंधस्थान का अन्तर्मुहूर्त प्रमाण उत्कृष्ट काल सूक्ष्मसम्पराय गुणस्थान के उत्कृष्ट काल की अपेक्षा बताया है। क्योंकि सूक्ष्मसम्पराय गुणस्थान का उत्कृष्ट काल अन्तर्मुहुर्त प्रमाण है।
एक प्रकृतिक बंधस्थान का जघन्यकाल एक समय और उत्कृष्ट काल कुछ कम पूर्व कोटि वर्ष प्रमाण है । जिसका स्पष्टीकरण यह है कि जो उपशम श्रेणि वाला जीव उपशान्तमोह गुणस्थान में एक समय तक रहता है और मरकर दूसरे समय में देव हो जाता है, उस उपशान्तमोह वाले जीव के एक प्रकृतिक बंधस्थान का जघन्यकाल एक समय प्राप्त होता है तथा एक पूर्व कोटि वर्ष की आयु वाला जो मनुष्य सात माह गर्भ में रहकर और तदनन्तर जन्म लेकर आठ वर्ष प्रमाण
