विकल्प बनते हैं, किन्तु वाचाशक्ति की मर्यादा होने के कारण जिनका पूर्णरूपेण कथन किया जाना सम्भव नहीं होने से क्रमश: मूल और उत्तर प्रकृतियों में सामान्यतया उन विकल्पों का कथन करते हैं ।

इस प्रकार इस गाथा के वाच्यार्थ पर विचार करने पर दो बातों को सूचना मिलती है। प्रथम यह कि इस प्रकरण में मुख्यतया पहले मूल प्रकृतियों और इसके बाद उत्तर प्रकृतियों के बन्ध-प्रकृति स्थानों, उदय प्रकृतिस्थानों और सत्व - प्रकृतिस्थानों का तथा उनके परस्पर संवेध' और उनसे उत्पन्न हुए भंगों का विचार किया गया है। दूसरी बात यह है कि उन भंग-विकल्पों को यथास्थान जीवस्थानों और गुणस्थानों में घटित करके बतलाया गया है ।
