अग्निकायिक और वायुकायिक पर्याय से आकर संज्ञियों में उत्पन्न होते हैं, क्योंकि अग्निकायिक और वायुकायिक जीवों के उच्च गोत्र की उवलना देखी जाती है । फिर भी यह भंग संज्ञी जीवों के कुछ समय तक ही पाया जाता है। संज्ञी पंचेन्द्रिय पर्याप्त जीवस्थान में दूसरा और तीसरा भंग प्रारम्भ के दो गुणस्थान मिथ्यात्व सासादन की अपेक्षा बताया है। चौथा संग प्रारम्भ के पांच गुणस्थानों की अपेक्षा से कहा है। पांचवां भंग प्रारम्भ के दस गुणस्थानों की अपेक्षा से कहा है। छठा भंग उपशान्तमोह गुणस्थान से लेकर अयोगिकेवली गुणस्थान के उपान्त्य समय तक होने की अपेक्षा से कहा है । और सातवां भंग अयोगिकेवली गुणस्थान के अन्तिम समय की अपेक्षा से कहा है ।

लेकिन शेष तेरह जीवस्थानों में उक्त सात भंगों में से पहला, दूसरा और चौथा ये तीन भंग प्राप्त होते हैं। पहला भंग नीच गोत्र का बंध, नीच गोत्र का उदय और नीच गोत्र की सत्ता अग्निकायिक और वायुकायिक जीवों में उच्च गोत्र की उवलना के अनन्तर सर्वदा होता है किन्तु शेष में से उनके भी कुछ काल तक होता है जो अग्निकायिक और वायुकायिक पर्याय से आकर अन्य पृथ्वीकायिक, द्वीन्द्रिय आदि में उत्पन्न हुए हैं। दूसरा भंग - तोत्र गोत्र का बंध, नीच गोत्र का उदय और उच्च-नीच गोत्र की सत्ता तथा चौथा भंग - उच्च गोत्र का बंध, नीच गोत्र का उदय और उच्च-नीच गोत्र की सत्ता, यह दोनों भंग भी तेरह जीवस्थानों में नीच गोत्र का हो उदय होने से पाये जाते हैं । अन्य विकल्प सम्भव नहीं हैं, क्योंकि तिचों में उच्च गोत्र का उदय नहीं होता है ।
इस प्रकार से भाष्य की गाथा के अनुसार जीवस्थानों में वेदनीय और गोत्र कर्मों के भंगों को बतलाने के बाद अब जीवस्थानों में आयु कर्म के भंगों को बतलाने के लिये भाप्य की गाथा को उद्धृत
करते हैं
