१६६ तक के देव एकालिय जाति, पावर और अमान नाम का उत्कृष्ट स्थितिबंध करते हैं।
विशेषार्थ-इस गाथा में पन्द्रह प्रकृतियों का उत्कृष्ट स्थितिबंध मिथ्यात्धी तिर्यचों और मनुष्यों को तथा तीन प्रकृत्तियों का उत्कृष्ट स्थितिबंध भवनवासी, व्यंतर, ज्योतिष्क और सौधर्म, ईशान स्वर्ग के देवों को बतलाया है।
तिर्यंच और मनुष्यों द्वारा उत्कृष्ट स्थिति का बंध की जाने वाली पन्द्रह प्रकृतियों के नाम इस प्रकार हैं___ विकलनिक (द्वीन्द्रिय, त्रीन्द्रिय, चतुरिन्द्रिय जाति), सूक्ष्मत्रिक (सूक्ष्म, साधारण, अपर्याप्त), आयुत्रिक (नरकायु, तिथंचायु, मनुष्याघु), देवद्धिक (देवगति, देवानुपूर्वी), वैक्रियटिक (वं क्रियशरीर, वैक्रियअंगोपांग), नरकद्विक (नरकगति, नरकानुपूर्वी)।
उक्त पन्द्रह प्रकृतियों में से तिर्यंचायु और मनुष्यायु के सिवाय शेष तेरह प्रकृतियों का बंध देवगति और नरकगति में जन्म से ही नहीं होता है तथा मनुष्यायु और तिर्यंचायु को उत्कृष्ट स्थिति जो तीन पल्य की है, वह भोगभूमिजों की होती है और नारक, देव मरकर भोगभूमिजों में जन्म ले नहीं सकते हैं । इसीलिये इन पन्द्रह प्रकृतियों का उत्कृष्ट स्थितिबंध मनुष्य और तियचों को बतलाया है ।
ईशान स्वर्ग तक के देवों द्वारा निम्नलिखित तीन प्रकृतियों का उत्कृष्ट स्थितिबंध होता है-एकेन्द्रिय, स्थावर, आतप नामकर्म । क्योंकि ईशान स्वर्ग से ऊपर के देव तो एकेन्दिय जाति में जन्म ही नहीं लेते हैं। जिससे एकेन्द्रिय के योग्य उक्त तीन प्रकृतियों का बंध उनके नहीं होता है। मनुष्यों और तिर्यंचों के यदि इस प्रकार के संक्लिष्ट परिणाम हों तो वे नरकगति के योग्य प्रकृतियों का बंध करते हैं, जिससे उनके एकेन्द्रिय जाति आदि तीन प्रकृतियों का उत्कृष्ट
