स्वभाव कफ को नष्ट करने का है । वैसे ही आत्मा के द्वारा ग्रहण किये गये कर्म पुद्गलों में से कुछ में आत्मा के ज्ञान गुण को घात करने की, कुछ में दर्शन गुण को आच्छादित करने की, कुछ में आत्मा के अनन्त सामर्थ्य को दबाने आदि की शक्तियां पैदा होती हैं। इस प्रकार भिन्न-भिन्न कर्म पुद्गलों में भिन्न-भिन्न प्रकार की प्रकृतियों के, शक्तियों के बंध को, स्वभावों के उत्पन्न होने को प्रकृतिबंध कहते हैं ।
उक्त लड्डुओं में से कुछ की एक सप्ताह, कुछ को पन्द्रह दिन आदि तक अपनी शक्ति स्वभाव रूप में बने रहने की कालमर्यादा होती है । इस कालमर्यादा को स्थिति कहते हैं। स्थिति के पूर्ण होने पर लड्डू अपने स्वभाव को छोड़ देते हैं, अर्थात् बिगड़ जाते हैं. नीरस हो जाते हैं । इसी प्रकार कोई कर्मदलिक आत्मा के साथ सत्तर कोड़ाकोड़ी सागरोपम तक, कोई बीस कोडाकोड़ी सागरोपम तक आदि रहते हैं । इस प्रकार भिन्न-भिन्न कर्म परमाणुओं में पृथक्-पृथक् स्थितियों का यानी अपने स्वभाव का त्याग न कर आत्मा के साथ बने रहने की काल मर्यादाओं का बन्ध होना स्थितिबंध कहलाता है । स्थिति के पूर्ण होने पर वे कर्म अपने स्वभाव का परित्याग कर देते हैं, यानी आत्मा से अलग हो जाते हैं।
जैसे कुछ लड्डुओं में मधुर रस अधिक, कुछ में कम, कुछ में कटुक रस अधिक, कुछ में कम आदि इस प्रकार मधुर, कटुक रस आदि की न्यूनाधिकता देखी जाती है । इसी प्रकार कुछ कर्म परमाणुओं में शुभ या अशुभ रस अधिक, कुछ में कम, इस तरह विविध प्रकार के तीव्र, तीव्रतर, तीवतम, मन्द, मन्दतर, मन्दतम शुभ-अशुभ रसों का कर्मपुदगलों में उत्पन्न होना रसबंध है।

Upon completion of **Sthiti**, these **Karma Paramanus** abandon their inherent nature and separate from the soul.

Just as some sweets have more sweetness, some less, some more bitterness, and some less, similarly, some **Karma Paramanus** have more **Shubh** (auspicious) or **Ashubh** (inauspicious) **Rasa** (flavor), some less. This generation of different intensities of **Shubh** and **Ashubh Rasa** within **Karma Pudgalas**, ranging from **Teer** (intense) to **Teertam** (most intense) and **Mand** (mild) to **Mandtam** (least mild), is called **Rasa Bandh** (flavor binding).
