पूर्वसेवा आदि शब्दों की व्याख्या:
[१] गुरु देव आदि पूज्यवर्ग का पूजन, सदाचार, तप और मुक्ति के प्रति द्वेष, यह 'पूर्वसेवा' कहलाती है। [२] उचित प्रवृतिरूप अणुव्रत महाव्रत थुक्त होकर मंत्री आदि भावनापूर्वक जो शास्त्र - नुसार तत्व-चिन्तन करना, वह 'अध्यात्म ' * है । [३] अध्यात्म का बुद्धिसंगत अधिकाधिक अभ्यास हो भावना' । है । [४] अभ्य विषय के संचार से रहित जो किसी एक विषय का धारावाही प्रशस्त सूक्ष्मबोध हो, वह 'ध्यान [५] अविधा से कल्पित जो इष्टअनिष्ट वस्तुएं हैं, उनमें विवेकपूर्वक तस्थ-बुद्धि करना अर्थात् इष्टस्व-अनिष्टस्व की भावना छोड़कर उपेक्षा धारण करमा 'समता' + है । [६] मन और शरीर के संयोग से उत्पन्न होने वाली विकल्परूप तथा चेष्टारूप वृत्तियों का निर्मूल नाश करना 'वृत्तिसंक्षय' X है ।
