जब भर
इस प्रकार पूर्व-पूर्व पल्य के खाली हो जाने के समय डाले गये एक-एक सर्वप से क्रमश: चौथा तीसरा और दूसरा प जाय तब अनवस्थितपस्थ, जो कि मूल स्थान से अतिम सर्षपवाले द्वीप या समुद्र तक लम्बा-चौड़ा बनाया सपों से भर देना चाहिये। इस क्रम से उस भरे जाने ७४-७६ !!
जाता है, उसको भी चारों पल्प सर्वपों से ठसा
सर्व परिपूर्ण पत्यों का उपयोग । पढमतिन्लुरिया वीषदही पल्लच उसरिसवा य । सम्वो वि एगराती. रूवणी परमसंखिज्जं ॥ ७७ ॥ प्रथमात्रिपल्योद्धृता द्वीपोदधयः पल्यचतुः सर्षपाव । सकराशी, रूमान परमसंख्येयम् ।। ७७ ।।

अर्थ - जितने द्वोप- समुद्रों में एक-एक सर्षप डालने से पहले तीन पत्य खाली हो गये हैं वे सब द्रोपममुत्र और परिपूर्ण चार पल्पों के मप इन दोनों को संख्या मिलाने से जो संख्या है, एक कम वही संख्या उत्कृष्ट संस्थात है ॥७७॥
मार्थ अनवस्थित, गलाका और प्रतिशलामा पत्य को बारबार संबंधों से भर कर उन हो खाली करने को जो विधि ऊपर दिलाई गई है. उसके अनुसार जितने द्वीपों में तथा जितने समुद्रों में एक-एक सर्वप पड़ा हुआ है, उन सब द्वीपों को तथा सब समुद्रकी संख्या में चारों पल्य के भरे हुए सर्वपों को संख्या मिला देन से जो संख्या होती है, एक कम यही संख्या उत्कृष्ट संख्यात है ।
उत्कृष्ट संख्यात और जघन्य संख्यात, इन बो के बीच को सब संख्गत को मध्यम संपात समझना चाहिये । शास्त्र म जहाँ-कहीं संख्यात शब्द का व्यवहार हुआ है, वहाँ सब जगह मध्यम संख्यात से ही मतलब है ॥ ७७ ॥
