भाषा - एकेन्द्रियादि सब प्रकार से संसारी जीव मित्यावी पाये जाते हैं। इसलिये पहले गुणस्थान में सब जोवस्थान कहे गये हैं।
दुसरे गणस्थान में सात जीवस्थान ऊपर कहे गये हैं, उनमें छह अपर्याप्त हैं, जो सभी करण-अपर्याप्त समझने चाहिये, क्योंकि लविध-अपर्याप्त जीय, पहले गुणस्थानघाले ही होते हैं।
चौथे गुणस्थान में अपर्याप्त संजी कहे गये हैं, सो भी उक्त कारगसे करण-अपर्याप्त हो समझने चाहिये।
पर्याप्त संज्ञी के सिवाय अन्य किसी प्रकार के जीव में ऐसे परिणाम नहीं होते, जिनसे वे पहले, दूसरे और चौथ को छोड़कर शेष ग्यारह गुणस्थानों को पा सके । इसीलिये इन ग्यारह गुणस्थानों में केवल पर्याप्त संजी जीवस्थान माना गया है ।। ४५ ।।
