कर्मस्तव स्त्यानद्वित्रिक, एकेन्द्रियजाति, विकलेन्द्रियजातित्रिक और साधारण नामकर्म इन सोलह प्रकृतियों का नौव गुणस्थान के प्रथम भाग के अन्तिम समय में क्षय हो जाने से दूसरे भाग में एक सौ बाईस प्रकृतियों की सत्ता रहती है। इन एक सौ बाईस प्रकृतियों में से अप्रत्याख्यानावरणकषायचतुष्क और प्रत्याख्थानावरणकषायचतुष्क कुल आठ प्रकृतियों की सत्ता का क्षय दूसरे भाग के अन्तिम समय में हो जाने मे तीसरे भाग में एक सौ चौदह प्रकृतियों की सत्ता रहती है । इसके बाद तीसरे से नौवें भाग तक क्रमशः नपुसकवेद, स्त्रीवेद, हास्यादिषट्क, पुरुषवेद, संज्वलन क्रोध, मान और माया का क्षय होने मे एकसौ तेरह, बारह, छह. पांच, चार और तीन प्रकृतियों की सत्ता रहती है।
विशेषार्थ-नौव गुणस्थान के नौ भाग होते है और इन नौ भागों में से पहले भाग में क्षपक श्रेणी की अपेक्षा से १३८ प्रकृत्तियों की सत्ता होने का कथन पहले की गाथा में हो चुका है। इन गाथाओं में उक्त गुणस्थान के शेष रहे दुसरे से नौवें भाग पर्यन्त कुल आठ भागों में क्रमशः क्षय होने वाली प्रकृत्तियों के नाम तथा सत्ता में रहने वाली प्रकृतियों की संख्या बतलाई है।
प्रथम भाग में जो १३८ प्रकृत्तियों की सत्ता कही गई है, उनमें से स्थावरद्विक, तियंचद्विक, नरकद्विक, आतपहिक, स्त्यानद्वित्रिक, एकेन्द्रियजाति नाम, विकलेन्द्रियत्रिक तथा माधारणनाम इन सोलह प्रकृतियों का क्षय प्रथम भाग के अन्तिम समय में हो जाने पर दूसरे भाग में १२२ प्रकृतियों की सत्ता रहती है।
